I was expecting more out of this book considering the price.. I have purchased many learning books on Solidworks and there are other books out just as good for a cheaper price.

Really good basic book

I did not have any 3D design experience before taking a class in SolidWorks and buying this book. Our class is using 2013 version, but I bought this older version and haven't had any issues beside some obvious dimensioning typos. The book is very clear and well laid out. My instructor is very good and has a lot of experience in design, but doesn't deviate from the tutorials much because they are very nicely written. She did point out a couple of items that the book does not emphasize that if neglected could affect the design.
