A real wake up call1

I really didn't know what to expect when I decided to purchase this book, but I'm glad I did. Reading this book was truly the "wake up" call I needed to confirm that I was on the right path regarding spirituality in tandem with my Black identity. I've more than struggled along the way with knowing God, but I've always been totally Black conscious. This book perfectly illustrates that pro-Black awareness is wholly in sync with spiritual development. Actually, if you are a Black person one cannot go without the other. The Blacker you become, the more intuned with God you become. It can be a lonely journey but it's one worthy of taking....life affirming and lifesaving. Buy the book!

Great Book Written by a Great Guide

Amazing book written by an extent guide.

I am quite biased because I know this guy he taught me to climb and he is all about safety. So I know the routs he suggests are safe.

As far as I know he actually made and bolted in most if not all of these climbs and many others in his guide books including over half of Utah's large cotton wood canyon.

If you looking for a fantastic and knowledgeable coach/teacher in Utah, for any level from beginner to advanced look Tony up he has been climbing for 40 years. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my daughters life.

100 years after World War III the world is not the same Ares used to be a law man but when his family was killed all he could think about was vengeance. One day while looking for the people who killed his family Ares finds Faith being attacked by some of the men who killed his family. Ares sets out to protect the women and kill the men. Woman are rare and once Ares sees her he knows he will be keeping her for himself.

Faith is not used to this world, dedicating her life to the convent. When Faith was little her family was killed and the convent took her in so when she was asked to transport a rare relic she agreed. after Ares saved her, Faith has mixed feelings and finds herself very attracted to Ares. The more time Ares and faith spend together the more they begin to fall in love. But Aries is still set on vengeance and faith still has plans to deliver the rare relic something she has kept hidden from everyone. Now Aries will have to decide if faith is worth giving up his vengeance so they can have a life together, and faith will have to decide if Ares is more important than the rare relic and her own plans.

I liked this book it was different from a lot of the books I have read. I liked Ares but at times he was very pushy, but that is part of Ares journey as he falls in love with faith, Ares was possessive and strong and very demanding and Faith was as strong as she could be in a world where woman weren't safe and highly sought after. This was a fast, hot read, and though Ares gets what he wants when he wants it it was really nice to see that Faith come into her own and Ares learn to fall in love.

Enjoyed it!

First time I've read this author and I look forward to reading more from her. I really liked this little story, and thought she did a great job of writing a futuristic romance. Could have been fleshed out a lot more but it was still a good read. Well written, too, and hot! I liked how the heroine was innocent, yet not afraid to fight for her man when it came down to it. Edna was a hoot!

• Comprehension Focus presents skills for understanding main ideas, supporting ideas, and details; making inferences, distinguishing facts and opinions; and recognizing organizational patterns. Activities to help students apply the skills follow the presentation.
• Note-Taking Skills teaches students how to identify important words and information. This section also presents helpful techniques such as use of abbreviations, symbols, and formatting.

About the Author
Bruce Rogers taught ESL and test preparation courses at the Economics Institute at the University of Colorado, USA, since 1979. He has also taught in special programs in Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, the Czech Republic, and Egypt. In addition to this series, he is the author of Introductory Guide to the TOEIC Test and The Complete Guide to TOEIC Test, both with National Geographic Learning.

This book is very useful for listening specially for foreign student in ESL classes.

but it's useless unless I had access to the recordings

The book can't be used unless you have the recordings (tape/ cd) which weren't included. There are no transcripts. Several of the topics in the book are outdated. As a listening practice I probably could use some of the material, but it's useless unless I had access to the recordings. As for the seller I used, the shipment came on time, but the book was said to be like new. It's not. Half of it is filled in.

Essential read on classical Georgian archaeology

For non-Georgians it is very difficult to learn anything about the history of Georgia because of the language barrier and lack of recent publications. I recommend buying this book. Beside its merits in filling this gap for western readers, it is an very well written description of the classical period in Georgia. You will find it also an easy read, highly interesting.
